Celestron is certainly a lead contender for the best telescope on the market today. Not only do they have one of the best telescopes but they also have a wide variety of telescopes. Their entry level telescopes is the PowerSeeker. These can be found for $100 - $200. If you're looking for used telescopes with a little more power you should certainly consider the NexStar line. These are quite powerful "go to" telescopes making them great for beginners who don't have a ton of time to invest. Lastly, at top end of the Celestron line is the CPC telescopes. These are for the serious amateur looking for the best money can buy. These will range in price from $2000 to $3000 but are worth every penny if you want to see something a galaxy away!
